About Us

Big Pharmer was formed by childood pals Gary Robinson and Bernie Reid who have been in bands for years but never played together. They were joined my musical visionary and multi instrumentalist Mark Preston. 

This three-piece encourage musical collaboration and have been joined on stage and in recordings by other musicians such as Anna Garstang, Graeme Brown and Mike McGrath

Big Pharmer Debut gig

Big Pharmer is an original alt space rock combo from Barrow-in-Furness and Ulverston made up of former members of bands such as Paloma Cafe, Girlfriend & A Korma, Interceptor 6, The Smashers & The Clementines.
Big Pharmer is: Bernie Pharmer is on drums and vocals, Mark Pharmer is on bass and vocals and Gary Pharmer on guitar and vocals.
“Music is one of the last real forms of honest, truthful expression, in a world beset by control, constant lies & ennui,” said Gary. “Big Pharmer is project of fun, powerful musical energy and is a safe place where stories can be told.”
Expect a hit concoction of Nuggets style psychedelia mixed with robust 90s shoegaze wrapped up in a contemporary blanket of lyricism, cynicism that intends to blow the other isms (sexism, classism, racism, ageism to name a few) out of the water.

Big Pharmer encourages its audience to wear all white at gigs and events as a form of a unified blank canvass where art, noise and visual projections can be served.
